Smart cards can be used for identification, authentication, and data storage. A Smart Identification Card contains government confirmed identity and complete with biometric information that would help verify the identity of card holders and prevent multiple and fake Identification Cards from being issued. Such Smart Identification Cards can store personal data that would be used in real emergencies such as medical information etc. They can provide a means of effecting business transactions in a flexible, secure, standard way with minimal human intervention including strong authentication for single sign-on or enterprise single sign-on to computers, laptops, data with encryption, enterprise resource planning platforms.
