An Android based Field Inspection Management System is being developed for the Tamil Nadu Water Supply & Sewerage Board (TWAD). The application integrates an Android application and a PHP based web portal.
A responsive and intuitive web portal provides TWAD senior officials and administrators officials with date and scheme wise inspection details in a graphic rich format. The application is integrated with Google Maps and it allows the officials to view assets on a map of Tamil Nadu.
The Android app is compatible with Jellybean, Honeycomb, ICS and KitKat and can be used in varied smart phones. The Android app allows users to take photographs of assets which are then automatically tagged with a snapshot of the user, the date, time and GPS location of the user. This enables the user's supervisor to confirm that the location of the asset and the user who is inspecting. The Android app also has features to search for an asset by scheme, name or GPS location.
Inventory Management System with integration of Handheld Billing Machines for Dept. of Agriculture, TamilnaduAn inventory management system (IMS) using GPRS enabled hand-held devices is being created for the Department of Agriculture, Tamil Nadu. The application has 2 parts - a portal level business intelligence application and a handheld application for inventory management and billing at the Agricultural Extension Centres (AECs) located across the state.
Robust GPRS enabled handheld machines with inbuilt custom inventory management software is used to add stock and billing. The handheld terminal communicates with the portal application via GPRS.
At the portal level, authorized users can securely login to access the inventory status and access detailed reports. IMS collates data from all handheld devices and provides a facility to analyse the data and derive statistical reports on sales and purchase by region, scheme and date range.
The IMS is also linked to the Farm Crop Management System (FCMS), a farmer centric application utilized by the Department of Agriculture for promoting scientific crop management. The IMS retrieves the farmer data from FCMS and links them to the actual stock sold.
The IMS portal is continuously updated to provide a real-time view of the current stock usage and statistics throughout Tamil Nadu. The main objective of this project is to get a real-time status of actual input availability information to the farmers and the department officials. This knowledge will further be used to gain a deeper understanding of the market and predict the future requirements of fertilizers, seeds etc. and aid in logistics planning. The application will also provide valuable inputs to assess the subsidy granted to beneficiaries under the various schemes supported by the government.
Common Application Software for TNeGAPERI has been selected to development an implement the Common Application Software (CAS) for the Tamil Nadu e-Governance Agency (TNeGA).
The CAS is a suite of three web applications viz. a demonstrable services directory, a scheme monitoring system and an e-learning platform.
The Demonstrable Services Directory is an online directory of all services offered by the government for the citizens. It also contains detailed context based help files and audio/video files to train new users through the process.
The Scheme Monitoring System is a business intelligence reporting system that provides detailed and graphical reports on the status of various government sponsored schemes. The monitoring system has a unique drill-down reporting style to allow the user to access different levels of information in the same page.
The e-learning Platform is built for government officials and includes detailed courses on basic computer and programming concepts. The application also incorporates simplified registration, a vast question bank and detailed tests. Users are issued certificates upon successful completion of a course. The application administrator can add or edit courses and course materials.
Legal Monitoring System for Rural Development and Panchayat Raj DepartmentPERI has been awarded the work of customisation and deployment of Legal Monitoring System (LMS) for the Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department. The software involves management of a large volume of cases and their sub-cases across Tamil Nadu in the various courts viz. Supreme Court, Madras High Court, Madurai Bench and other lower courts. It includes strict security and hierarchical access restrictions and also manages and tracks notifications, correspondence, Government Orders (GOs), stays, judgments and other time-bound directives linked to the case.
The LMS issues periodic email/ pop-up based alert notification on hearing dates, submission due dates and file closures. The notifications are further colour-coded based on priority. Notifications which are ignored or are past their due date are immediately reported to the next senior person in the hierarchy. This enables the management to keep track of and resolve all time bound directives within reasonable timelines.
In order to enable faster search and retrieval of required documents, case history and case summaries, all correspondence is linked to a single case number. Business intelligence reports are also available to the authorised personnel that provide pertinent statistics, quick summaries and detailed case histories.
Asian Athletics Championship Website for Sports Development Authority of Tamil NaduThe Sports Development Authority of Tamil Nadu (SDAT) retained PERI to create a website for the Asian Athletics Championships 2013. The website, built using Joomla Content Management System (CMS), was custom designed for SDAT and incorporated photos, videos, flash animations and social media links.
Aqua Aquaria 2013 for Marine Products Export Development Authority of India (MPEDA)MPEDA awarded PERI the work of development, maintenance and support for Aqua Aquaria 2013 (AA 2013) website. Aqua Aquaria is an aquaculture show bringing together aqua-culturists and visitors throughout India. PERI built a website cum event management application for AA 2013. The application involves a customized stall selection module, exhibitor and delegate registrations and payment gateway integration. An on-site event management module to issue badges and kits to exhibitors and delegates and manage on-spot registrations was also developed. Post-show, detailed reports were created and submitted to MPEDA.
Farm Crop Management SystemThe Farm Crop Management System (FCMS) is a first of its kind farm centric application that provides the farmer with a holistic and scientific approach to managing his land. This path-breaking application encompasses scientific cropping schedule planning and associated support provision (soil testing, crop identification, technology identification, post-harvest services). This service also involves collection of field level information by Agricultural Department officials using tablet devices which is used to inform the farmer on expected yields and possible pest outbreaks. FCMS also enables the farmer to avail of the necessary schemes pertaining to the crop and pattern as well as tie in the various stakeholders such as Dept. of Agriculture, Agriculture University, Soil Testing Labs, Credit and Financing Organisations, Fertilisers/Pesticide and Seed suppliers, Farm machinery producers, Agriculture Produce Marketing agencies among others.
Asset Mapping ProjectAn Asset Mapping Pilot Project was undertaken in Srirangam Taluk to assess the availability, location and requirement of schools and anganwadis and their assets belonging to the department. The asset data including spatial and non-spatial information was captured in an extensive field survey and collated into a GIS map. This project enabled DSE to obtain the latest information concerning the education facilities available to the children of the taluk and was immediately able to discern several areas where improvement can be done and schemes focussed.
Property Mapping in GISPERI has completed a property survey, mapping and GIS project in Sriperumputhur. High resolution geo-referenced satellite data was used to extract land parcel, property, utility information using image processing techniques and integrated with filed survey data of plot boundaries, roads and survey of non-spatial information. The complete map incorporates both a bird's eye view and a detailed view of the assessed/un-assessed property details leading to greater clarity about the current status of the properties in a given area. Integration with a portal and incorporation with a payment gateway simplifies tax payment and provides a day-to-day reconciliation resulting in quick gap identification.
India International Seafood Show - 2012PERI created an event management solution for the India International Seafood Show 2012, a biennial show hosted jointly by MPEDA and SEAI. It is one of the largest Seafood Fairs in Asia and a common forum for meeting under one roof - Seafood processors, Exporters, Importers, Aquaculturists, Processing Machinery manufacturers and allied industries. The solution included a website, online registrations, spot registrations and delegate/ visitor management using bar-codes.

Legal Monitoring System
A Legal Monitoring System (LMS) was built for the Department of Registrations (DoR) to track the litigations involving the department in the Supreme Court, Madras High Court, Madurai Bench and other lower courts. The LMS tracks thousands of cases, their respective sub-cases and documentation involved in the case. It also has a customized notification system to alert users and management on follow-ups and deadlines.
Mortuary Van ApplicationPERI has developed a customized application for managing the Hearse (Mortuary) Van Services Program for the Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS). This program provides free hearse van services to the public. The application is based on the PERI iSystem enterprise communication platform that supports a 24x7 call centre operation with a toll free number. This portal solution captures information of the deceased and has an integrated vehicle management module. These services can be availed by the public @ 155377
The Agrisnet portal caters to over 20 Lakh farmers in Tamil Nadu and provides them with information on availability of seeds and fertilisers across 27,000 Dealers and Distributors in the State of Tamil Nadu. Over 550 Department users log in to the system daily and provide updates which is captured through the system by the officials at the block level, district level and state level. Various customisable reports are generated by the Dept. and the portal has, over the past one year, enabled the Dept. to improve their services delivery to the farmers in the State.
June 2010 - MPEDA - Enhancement of Catch Certificate PortalPERI is pleased to inform that the MPEDA Catch Certificate Portal has been successfully enhanced and upgraded to ensure total online transaction capability. The new application will enable exporters to apply for necessary Catch Certificates online and attach all relevant documents to the application. The officers concerned from MPEDA will be able to view these applications online and approve or reject them based on the supporting evidences provided.
As an added security feature, all issuance of Catch Certificate is now supported by Digital Certification with e-tokens to ensure authenticity as well as security to the approvers. Certificates issued can be easily downloaded and printed by the Exporter, completely bar-coded and with Digital signatures of the approving authority. Authenticity of these certificates can be verified by any party by just providing the Catch Certificate number - a feature which has been made available in the portal home page itself.
May 2010 - AgrisNet - Enhancement of AgrisNet PortalPERI is pleased to inform that 8 more new modules have been included in the AgrisNet portal. The application developed and managed by PERI since Jan 2010, will now provide the farmers with information regarding availability of fertilizers, seeds, etc. Farmers, who are registered in the system, will also be able to receive regular SMS based updates from the department on weather and stock availability status.
May 2010 - ELCOT - Manpower Contract for other Government DepartmentPERI has been awarded the contract for providing manpower to various Government Department by ELCOT on rate contract basis for a period of one year. This contract will run concurrently with the earlier contract for providing manpower to ELCOT to manage its various internal requirements across the State of TN.
April 2010 - TWAD - Completeion of Field Level SurveyPERI is pleased to announce that it has completed the field survey of more than 8500 Sq. kms as part of its ongoing GIS Asset Management Project for the Hogennakal Water Supply and Fluorosis Mitigation Project of Tamilnadu Water and Drainage Board (TWAD) in the districts of Krishnagiri and Dharmapuri. More than 1100 revenue villages have been covered and geo-coordinates of close to 15000 points have been recorded. A team of more than 20 personnel have been involved in the field surveys backed by a specialzed resources carrying out the geo-referencing activity. PERI was identified as the vendor for this service and solution by TWAD Board in Aug 2009 through an exacting tender process and has partnered with ESRI in this project.
Mar 2010 - ELCOT - Completion Of Deployment Of Manpower For TNCSCPERI is pleased to announce the completion of deployment of over 260 resources including Data Entry Operators, District Coordinators and Project Coordinator for Tamil Nadu Civil Supplies Corporation. The deployment, implemented through ELCOT, has enabled TNCSC to capture transaction data from over 33 offices on a daily basis and has helped streamline decisions on availability and transport of essential commodities for the general public, distributed through the Public Distribution System.

Jan 2010 - AgrisNet - Application Migration to ELCOT Data CentrePERI is pleased to announce the migration of the Department of Agriculture Portal - Agrisnet - to the ELCOT Data Center with effect from Jan 1, 2010. Catering to more than 32 Districts, 386 Blocks and over 17,000 Villages across the State of Tamil Nadu, the portal is a veritable knowledge base of information for the 80 Lakh farmers who are dependent on the State for various key and timely information. With all these blocks and district offices linked using Broadband, more than 500 users input a multitude of data on a daily basis enabling state and district level officers to extract daily updates and reports from the portal.
PERI was awarded the contract to develop the application by ELCOT in mid 2009 and after a detailed study of the organisation and their requirements, 5 modules were identified for initial development. These modules gather and provide key information to the over 80 Lak farmers spread across TN.
September 15, 2009 - AgrisNet - Completion of AgrisNet Portal Phase 1PERI is pleased to announce the completion of the Phase 1 component of the integrated enterprise portal for Department of Agriculture, Tamil Nadu. The project, completed within the time frame set forth by the Department has been commended for its adherence to delivery schedules, objectivity and comprehensiveness of the scope.
August 25, 2009: TWAD - Award of GIS based asset maping contractPERI has won the project from TWAD Board for preparation of Base Maps for Dharmapuri and Krishnagiri Districts using GIS Technologies as part of the prestigious Hogenakkal Water Supply and Flourosis Mitigation Project.
June 15, 2009: ELCOT - Award of contract for development of AgrisNet portal phase 1PERI has been awarded the project by ELCOT for development of an integrated enterprise web portal for the Department of Agriculture, Tamil Nadu. The order is to be executed in a phased manner. Phase 1 includes the development, customisation and deployment of 5 modules.
May, 2009 - Access Control and Visitor management SystemPERI recently implemented a RFID based access control solution complete with time and attendance management features in a flagship undertaking of the Govt. of TN. A separate visitor management system was also developed by PERI and implemented as part of the project.
April,2009 - Migration to Open Source TechnologiesPERI undertook the migration of a section of IT infrastructure from proprietary software to open source software in one of the esteemed clients. The project involved set-up and installation of open source software for their server, desktop clients, email service, network file system, single sign-on and automatic back-ups of all data. PERI successfully implemented the project well within schedule.
September,2008 - System Study of Handheld Billing Machine Deployment in PDS shops in Tamil NaduThe Cooperatives Department engaged the services of PERI to study various issues that cropped up during the pilot phase of deployment of hand held billing machines in various Public Distribution System Outlets across the state. A detailed study was made by PERI and the same was submitted within 10 calendar weeks. The study bought out the key issues - both technical and personnel related - that was impacting the adoption of this system. PERI has made its recommendations to improve and resolve the issues that came to the fore.
September,2008 - ELCOT, Tamil Nadu - Exclusive Professional Manpower PlacementPERI has been selected by ELCOT to supply technical resources required by ELCOT for the next 2 years. The technically skilled resources will be primarily responsible for managing all the software projects of ELCOT and will help ELCOT to study the requirements of various Govt. Departments in detail. The resources will be deployed across the state of Tamil Nadu.
August,2008 - Zensar Technologies, Pune - Manpower Staffing on Project BasisPERI has been preferred as the Partner of Choice by Zensar in deploying highly skilled resources in open source technologies to enable Zensar to deliver the projects as per the timelines and guidelines discussed. PERI has completed one project with Zensar, completing the same ahead of schedule.
August,2008 - Wireless Mesh Communication SolutionsPERI was tasked in conducting a detailed study by one of the TN Government Departments to study and recommend specific solutions in high-end communication and software solutions. PERI has completed these stated tasks within three man-months and has been further involved in demonstrating and providing proof of concept of the new technologies to be adopted by the department.
August,2008 - EVERONN Systems India Limited - iSystem enterprise communication solutionEveronn was one of the early adopters of the iSystem. PERI has implemented the iSystem 9500 at Everonn's world class infrastructure in Perungudi as their unified communication platform. With a seating capacity in excess of 1000, the new facility of Everonn went live in April 2009. The initial deployment of the iSystem was for 250 extensions with a mix of the Video phones, Desktop phones, USB phones and Soft phone clients. They now have access to the rich and customized spread of iSystem's corporate productivity features at their operations at Perungudi. Everonn have already expanded their implementation to add newer devices and certain key clients for cost free interaction.
April,2008 - Application debugging and Performance TuningPERI recently undertook a performance fine tuning exercise at one of the client's site in Malaysia. The client had been facing problems of frequent breakdowns in the links with credit card authorizations especially when multiple requests were raised simultaneously. PERI performed the following tasks as part of the project i.e. assessing the hardware/software in client site, conducting a Trouble-shooting exercise, determining the cause of failure, Debug application and Identify potential fixes and recommended a solution to the client.
