April 2012 : PERI has won the tender for the Farm Crop Management System (FCMS) project, an enterprise application that will link the farmers of Tamil Nadu with the Agricultural Department and provide the farmers with technical know-how to help increase their yield. This first-of-its-kind project is being developed in consultation with agriculture experts from TNAU.
Nov 2011 : PERI is proud to launch the latest version of our enterprise communication system, iSystem 3.0. The iSystem 3.0 has a new UI with easy-to-use administrator interface. The interface allows back-ups and restore, creating new campaigns and adding users and extensions in the browser itself. It also provides real-time usage statistics and detailed reports on usage.
Oct 2011 : PERI is pleased to announce the opening of its sales office in Mumbai as part of the geographic footprint expansion initiative. The office will provide a local base and assist sales and recruiting operations in the state of Maharashtra.
Sep 2011 : PERI has won a GIS project from Sarva Siksha Abhiyan. The project involves detailed mapping of all educational assets and requirements in Srirangam Taluk and mapping of the assets on a GIS map. The project was successfully completed and enabled the Department to easily identify areas in highest need of improvements and aid.
We are pleased to inform that the Agrisnet Portal, developed and managed by PERI, has been awarded the National Gold Award for being the best e-governance portal under the Special Sectoral Category - Agriculture, by Government of India. The Agrisnet portal caters to over 20 Lakh farmers in Tamil Nadu and provides them with information on availability of seeds and fertilisers across 27,000 Dealers and Distributors in the State of Tamil Nadu. Over 550 Department users log in to the system daily and provide updates which is captured through the system by the officials at the block level, district level and state level. Various customisable reports are generated by the Dept. and the portal has, over the past one year, enabled the Dept. to improve their services delivery to the farmers in the State.
July 28, 2010 - PERI takes part in CeTIT 2010 CeTIT (Citizens empowerment through information technology) is a flagship event organised by ELCOT (Electronics Corporation of Tamilnadu) and FICCI (Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry). Spread over two days, the event focuses on the progress of e-governance initiatives by various Departments in the State of Tamil Nadu as well as provided information on key initiatives by other State Governments across India. "CeTIT 2010", the second edition of the Conference-Cum-Exhibition on "e-governance" was held on 27th and 28th July 2010 at Chennai Trade Center, Chennai. PERI was a Silver Sponsor for the event and our participation was highly appreciated and acknowledged by FICCI, ELCOT and the organizing committee. PERI's participation in this event is another step in enhancing the strong position of the company presence in the state of Tamilnadu. The event was presided over and Inaugurated by Dr. Poongodhai, Minister of Information Technology, Govt. of TamilNadu. Mr. PWC Davidar I.A.S. Secretary of Information Technology, Govt of Tamilnadu, Dr. Santhosh Babu. I.A.S. Managing Director, ELCOT, Mr. R S Sharma of UIDAI and other dignitaries presented the current progress of e-governance. Over 2000 delegates from more than 140 Government Departments and Public sector undertakings, educational institutes participated in the event. More than 50 solution providers including PERI showcased various solutions for e-governance developed by them for different departments. He spoke on the topic "Smart Solutions for e-governance" highlighting PERI's Smart Grid solutions which received positive responses during the event. http://www.tnega.in/cetit June 2010: PERI is pleased to confirm that the MPEDA Catch Certificate Portal has been successfully enhanced and upgraded to ensure total online transaction capability. The new application will enable exporters to apply for necessary Catch Certificates online and attach all relevant documents to the application. The officers concerned from MPEDA will be able to view these applications online and approve or reject them based on the supporting evidences provided. As a added security feature, all issuance of Catch Certificate is now supported by Digital Certification with e-tokens to ensure authenticity as well as security to the approvers. Certificates issued can be easily downloaded and printed by the Exporter, completely bar-coded and with Digital signatures of the approving authority. Authenticity of these certificates can be verified by any party by just providing the Catch Certificate number - a feature which has been made available in the portal home page itself." May 2010: PERI is pleased to confirm the order for enhancing the current application for the Dept of Agriculture with the inclusion of 8 more new modules. The portal - developed and managed by PERI since Jan 2010 - will now cater to all aspects of the Dept and provide the farmers with information regarding availability of fertilisers, seeds, etc. Farmers - who are registered in the system - will also be able to receive regular SMS based updates from the Dept. on weather and availability aspects. This enhancement is expected to be completed within 3 months and is expected to go live in Aug 2010." May 2010: PERI is pleased to announce that it has been awarded another contract by ELCOT for providing manpower to various Govt. Depts at a rate contract basis for a period of one year. This contract - at an estimated value of Rs. 1.5 Crs per year - will run concurrently with the earlier contract from ELCOT where in it provides for skilled manpower to ELCOT to manage various internal requirements of ELCOT across the State of TN." April 2010: PERI is pleased to announce that it has completed the field level surveys of more than 8500 Sq. kms as part of its ongoing GIS Asset Management Project for the Tamilnadu Water and Drainage Board (TWAD) spanning the districts of Krishnagiri and Dharmapuri. More than 1700 villages have been covered and around 20,000 points have been identified and coordinates documented. These points are currently being mosaiced and geo-referenced on the Portal Application developed by PERI. A team of more than 20 personnel have been involved in the field level surveys backed by a dozen personnel specialising in GIS referencing." PERI was identified as the vendor for this service and solution by TWAD Board in Aug 2009 through an exacting tender process and has partnered with ESRI in this project. ESRI, who specialises in GIS Applications and is among the world's leading GIS Solution Provider, is primarily engaged in geo-referencing the data gathered during the field surveys. April 2010: Hermes I Tickets Pvt Ltd have implemented the iSystem PLUS II Voice Server to service the telephone support lines for IRCTC's airline business wing. This implementation supports a 24x7 call center with advanced reporting features and quality control mechanisms. March 2010: PERI is pleased to announce the completion of deployment of over 235 Data Entry Operators, 31 District Coordinators and 1 Project Coordinator for Tamil Nadu Civil Supplies Corporation. The deployment, facilitated by ELCOT, has enabled TNCSC to capture data from over 33 offices on a daily basis and has helped streamline decisions on availability and transport of essential commodities for the general public, distributed through the Public Distribution System. The current contract - for an initial period of 6 months - is expected to be extended based on performance." February 2010: The Marine Products Export Development Authority (MPEDA) have implemented the iSystem 9500 to connect their various Regional Offices and 59 shipping harbors in a PAN India deployment. January 2010: Altech Star BPO implement the iSystem 8500 to support their inbound UK client processes January 2010: Select Source International Inc implement the iSystem 7500 at their offices in Minneapolis and Gurgaon to provide a robust and flexible communication platform to enhance their operations. January 2010: PERI is pleased to announce the migration of the Department of Agriculture Portal - Agrisnet - to the ELCOT Data Center with effect from Jan 1, 2010. Catering to more than 32 Districts, 386 Blocks and over 17,000 Villages across the State of Tamil Nadu, the portal is a veritable knowledge base of information for the 80 Lakh farmers who are dependent on the State for various key and timely information. With all these blocks and district offices linked using Broadband, more than 500 users input a multitude of data on a daily basis enabling state and district level officers to extract daily updates and reports from the portal. PERI was awarded the contract to develop the application by ELCOT in mid 2009 and after a detailed study of the organisation and their requirements, 5 modules were identified for initial development. These modules gather and provide key information to the over 80 Lak farmers spread across TN. Training to nodal officers of Agriculture Department in Open Source Technologies as well as over 400 Block Development Officers are also part of the solution provided by PERI. The portal is currently being enhanced with further additional features and is expected to go live with effect from April 2010. Addition of new modules and Departments such as Horticulture, etc is being planned for the coming financial year." January 2010: PERI is pleased to confirm that the Marine Products Export Development Agency (MPEDA) Catch Certificate Portal has been launched with effect from Jan 1, 2010. Built on an Open Source Platform and hosted at ELCOT, Chennai, the application has over 1000 users across the maritime states of India. The portal enables MPEDA to provide Catch Certificates to various exporters in a simple and transparent manner. The Catch Certificate issued enables Overseas Buyers to verify that the products exported from India meets the guidelines as mandated by the European Union. About 47 Operators have been deployed across various remote harbours to capture the catch information on a daily basis which is then audited by more than 23 MPEDA Authorised Officers spread across the country. The portal enables key officials of MPEDA to extract various reports on regular basis and monitor the catch and exports from India to EU. PERI's role has been to provide comprehensive services to MPEDA which includes Application Development, Infrastructure Planning, Manpower Deployment, Support Services and provision of requisite Hardware for the operators. The project, envisaged in Oct 2009, was completed and deployed within 60 days on a priority basis for MPEDA. PERI is proud to inform that further enhancements to the current application are under way and the portal is poised to cater to more than double the current users by the second half of 2010." September 15, 2009: PERI is pleased to announce the completion of the Phase 1 component of the integrated enterprise portal for Department of Agriculture, Tamil Nadu. The project, completed within the time frame set forth by the Department has been commended for its adherence to delivery schedules, objectivity and comprehensiveness of the scope. August 25, 2009: PERI has won the project from TWAD Board for preparation of Base Maps for Dharmapuri and Krishnagiri Districts using GIS Technologies as part of the prestigious Hogenakkal Water Supply and Flourosis Mitigation Project. June 15, 2009: PERI has been awarded the project by ELCOT for development of an integrated enterprise web portal for the Department of Agriculture, Tamil Nadu. The order is to be executed in a phased manner. Phase 1 includes the development, customisation and deployment of 5 modules. Mr. P. W. C.
